Holiday time

After a busy summer we organised to go on holiday diving in Tenerife our first holiday in 4 years. The day before we were about to leave Garfield the reindeer broke his leg. The vet was call and he proceeded to place his leg in a splint and dosed him up with painkillers.  While we were away he was looked after by our daughter and son along with our part-time helper Jeanette.  Grant our vet visited several time to check on his progress and was happy with the way his leg was looking. We were given updated on his condition whilst we were away and were please to see him up and walking around all be it on 3 legs on our return. 

On the day before  arrived home  2 of our pigs produced 11 piglets between them, all very healthy and robust.
